Germany - The rise of the Kirchlichen Banken

According to a survey disclosed in August by the group “Forschungsgruppe Weltanschauungen in Deutschland”, the data for the last decade point out that deposits into German Christian banks, despite lower interest rates and tax revenues, have increased significantly from EUR 20 bn in 1999 to 35 bn EUR in 2015. Only deposits “visible” are taken into account but estimated off-balance sheet assets reach an equivalent volume.
